Some of our Zion Christian Early Learning Center families participated in Earth Day by making bird feeders or planting trees and plants at their homes. Thank you for sharing!

Celebrate Earth Day by planting seeds, this is an easy fun way for kids of all ages to show our planet some love!
Homemade Suet CakesHomemade suet cakes are an easy activity for toddler or preschool children to do at home. Take two slices of bread and spread a decent amount of peanut butter on them. Next shake bird seed over top, once the bread is completely covered shake off the extra seed. Suet cakes can put in an existing suet cake basket, bird feeder or hung in a tree with string!
Magic Earth Milk
The science behind the experiment:
The Dawn dish soap does not mix with the milk, it spreads on the surface. As it spreads it grabs the blue and green food coloring swirling together like planet Earth. This happens because milk is a fat molecule and the molecules in the dish soap are attracted to them. When the q-tip is dipped into the mixture the molecules race around trying to bond giving the swirling pattern. Wednesday, April 22 marks Earth Days 5oth anniversary. Join us in celebrating all week with activities at home with your little ones. Send us your photos or videos to school@zionohio.org.
