Magic Earth Milk
The science behind the experiment: The Dawn dish soap does not mix with the milk, it spreads on the surface. As it spreads it grabs the blue and green food coloring swirling together like planet Earth. This happens because milk is a fat molecule and the molecules in the dish soap are attracted to them. When the q-tip is dipped into the mixture the molecules race around trying to bond giving the swirling pattern.

Spring Painting
Our friend made a Spring painting today using creative tools instead of brushes. She used a toilet paper roll, plastic forks, a spoon, and knife, and q-tips to paint. Way to go!
